Well, I don't even have to write this review because anyone who has been there KNOWS the food & service are 2nd-to-none up in the northwoods of Wisco. Problem is, the wait to get in there is sadly prohibitive as even very early dining or trying to eat late doesn't work- there is ALWAYS a huge line & no large place to sit & wait if you DID decide to sit & wait They've been the standard of excellence for supper clubs in that Eagle River area for many years and I don't have to recommend it- EVERYONE knows it is the Gold Standard for eating up there!

We were told 1 1/2 hr wait. It was but worth the wait. Drinks were amazing. Bartender was very personable. Salads were great! My steak was cooked to perfection. Screaming hot and nothing to complain about. Hash brown were equally amazing. Go there if you have time to have the best meal ever!

We loved our experience here! The don't take reservations. Restaurant opens at 4 pm and we arrived at 3:45 pm . There was already a long line . However we made the cut and were able to get seated at 4pm . If we wouldn't have made the first sitting , we could have gotten some drinks and hung out in the back area outside - as they have a few tables. There were also some people with chairs in parking lot waiting to be seated. It was like a little tailgate! Food was delicious. I had the filet with blue cheese on top. My son had filet and scallops . Both were delicious. Excellent service as well .

My family has frequented this spot for well over 30 years and I have yet to find a better steak or house salad dressing elsewhere. If you don't mind waiting over an hour to get a spot in the small dining room, I promise it's worth it. Having a cocktail while you wait also helps which brings me to their Old Fashions. I genuinely cannot wrap my head around $7 for a korbel old fashioned, that is incredibly cheap and they're delicious. One thing I will say about this place is that it is LOUD. It is not a place to try to hold a conversation, I'm not sure if it's because the size of the building or if everyone is tipsy by the time they get to sit down, but just beware of the noise if this is your first time. The staff is incredibly nice and I promise you, you will not find a better filet mignon anywhere else (adding mushrooms/and or onions is an absolute must). Do not sleep on the garlicky house salad dressing either, it's to die for. The steak fries are delicious, you can tell they're home made and can actually taste the potato flavor, the rice is so-so and the baked potato is a baked potato. You'll also get a small loaf of hot french bread. Bathrooms are comically small, one men's one women's. I have Verizon Wireless and this spot for me is a dead zone, I cannot send or receive text messages while I'm here so keep that in mind too. One last note is it's best to come here during off season, I wouldn't attempt any time near Memorial Day or 4th of July weekend. People are waiting outside well before they even open. I'd also wear something you don't mind smelling or getting grease spots on because the steak plates come out sizzling and you will leave smelling like steak lol.
